Make your own background

Happy Monday everyone hope you all had a great week-end I know I did we had the oldest 2 Grand children again this week-end (we must be doing something right!) it was lovely we went to Cleethorpes to watch the Parade they have decided to keep running, then we watched a film. On Sunday we mended stuff that they had found broken including a skip and hop that Grace had bought on Saturday, we then baked some cakes for the party at School on the Monday followed by a walk in the woods at the back of the park across the road from my house finished by a yummy Chicken dinner and Strawberry surprise then home. We had just left home when we saw my Daughter coming down the road with the Taylor our littlest Grand son so we had to get back for him as he sleeps every Sunday until tea time Mondays as both Parents work full time.

Now on to our lovely Challenge at OSCC in case you didn't know it's just for fun this week and no Sponsor we just thought it would be fun to see what you came up with by making your own BACKGROUND I was racking my brain to what I could do, do I stamp and glitter or add Micro powders? Do I draw it, Paint it then the light bulb went on lets try that Embossing and Waxing technique I also thought about trying something called triptych so let me know what you think.

For this card I have used:
Kanban Roses from the Hobby House
Spellbinders Fancy Tags
Rangers Distressing ink (on edges of frame and Green DP)

Add a Tag ......

Hello everyone I'm sorry it's half way through the week before I blogged but everything has been going mad here we had a lovely week-end weather wise Saturday was Armed Forces Day, it seems everyone turned out for it but by the time we had finished work got changed and went down to the beach it had finished. So after a short stroll along the beach went home to enjoy the rest of the sunshine only to get a call to say that our new Mummy was in Hospital and she is still in it's been really worrying for us all as we haven't been able to pop down to see her yet due to work commitments.

This week-end was the start of a new challenge at OSCC  the challenge is ADD a TAG and as usual it's not a hard task only for me as I don't do Tags they are one of my worst nightmares as I never know what to do with one, but I think I may have pulled this one out of the bag, I saw a show on Create and Craft with Mel were she made a tag I thought I liked it so much I would have a go mine was done on MDF blank that I got off my friend Sue ( you really should pop over and see her) were her's was done on card. Our lovely Sponsor this week is Fred She Said

but I am still without a printer and had to go without a sponsored image I hope you like what I have done with the tag.
For this tag I have used:
An  MDF blank tag shape ( thanks sue)
Various papers that have been in my stash for ever,
A black Copic pen for the edges
The inchy was also one of Sue's,
A Marianne Butterfly Die
and the Ribbon was off something from Thornton's.
