Have yourself a merry little Christmas.

Hi everyone sorry no card this week although OSSC have got a really nice theme "DO you beleive in Fairies" with Val being the Hostess & also a bit under the weather, all you have to do is follow the sketch & add a charm it's that easy and it is being sponsored by the Lovely Robyn's Fetish.

I would like to thank everyone who has been following me for the last 9 months and to everyone who has left me comments I wish everybody A Very Merry Christmas & Wonderful new year (only 2 more sleeps woo hoo) isn't it exciting. But like Santa Christmas eve is my busiest day so I'll be looking forward to spending Christmas day with the family at my son & daughter-in-laws house with her family too, so many grand parents to confuse the littles ones (2 grandads - 1 granny - 1 grandma & 1 nannie). Hope Santa is Kind to you all & really look forward to seeing you all in 2011. Janet

Monday, 29 November 2010

Hi a lovely crisp snowy Monday to everyone under the age of maybe 70, this is not a good time for the old, disabled or people with pushchairs. I feel sorry for the people up north who are having a really bad time of it and the people traveling in cars.

I have been a bit tight and recycled a cred that my friend (new to crafting) sent me I have tried to show her ways to make her money go further by chopping cards like this that have the same background on the back but it hasn't worked yet, I have also added a snowflake button to finish it off.

What a lovely start

Hi everybody hope the weather is being kind to you, I would just like to share some of my good news with you but I don't want it to sound like I'm boasting.
First of all I've been struggling to get my Baby Cricut to go for a few weeks & finally caved in & phoned USA to get it fixed, I spoke to a lovely lady who took all the details then asked me for my Address which I thought was to check for registry then they told they would send me a new one, How kind is that.
Second - You know when your bored after you have face booked, Blog Hopped all your friends and done your E-mailing, I thought I would google my blog like I do sometimes only to find I have won the Blog Hop at Whimsy Stamps and if that wasn't shock enough I also found out I won a stamp at the Fairy Knoll Blog Hop too.

Challenge #103 - Photo Insiration - Gorgeous Gina & Happy Birthday to Me

Hi everyone wishing you all a really great week-end sorry the post is a little late but I've had such a busy day preparing 4 different curries, Bombay potatoes & mushroom bhaji for 8 people. I had this notion that seeing as my grandchildren's other Grandma was still away to do a meal at mine save on babysitters & thought it might be a bit more relaxed, we had a meal out last week for my lovely girls & I also said it could be my Birthday meal too (how cheeky is that) but then caved in & decided to cook.
This weeks Challenge AT OSCC is Photo Inspiration By our poorly Gina (so get well soon) & is being sponsored by the people at Robyns Fetish so why not pop along to join in with us & get a chance to win a lovely prize.
Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More is happy to offer the winner of this challenge 5 digital stamps, or 4 digital stamps and 1 digital paper set of their choice.
I have used some freebie papers which are my minds eye, Nitwits papers from the Gingerbread & blossombuds collections, Roses & ivy leaves from my friend Jane also the pearls too (cheers Jane) and the cute image is Penelope Puppy from Robyn's Fetish which I coloured in using my Promarkers.

This is the lovely Photo Inspiration picture we had to work from such lovely colours, so it's not hard to come up with some really stunning cards. Hope you'll join us and let your imagination run loose.

Darling Happy Anniversary

Before I start to do my Challenge I would like to wish my Darling a Happy 34th Wedding Anniversary & yes I've had all the comments about how I could have been released if I'd committed a robbery etc.
SO.....................
Week # 101- Creative Carrie - Alter IT.
This week is it's our lovely Carries turn to pick her challenge & she chose to have an Altered week, this is not my forte & unlike my friend Lorraine AKA Cat Spicer I'm not doing the happy dance haha and have been really bashing my head to think of something so here it is. I bought a bag of mixed Lampwork Beads & watched the lovely Carla Cam from Aunties beads for inspiration & this is it (sorry about the 1st photo). This is a gift for my daughter & I will soon be making some earings to go with this, I am really pleased with it as it is the first bit of jewelery to go on display.

My September Mystery

Good morning everyone even though it's very wet & horrible weather I have a little mystery maybe someone may be able to help me with?
This is what I woke up to yesterday.
For the last 5-6 years at the end of September I get these little beauties in my garden usually there are only two but this year I have three they just pop up when you forget to look for them, what I would be interested in knowing is are they poisonous? With having two small children most week-ends I wouldn't want them to find them before me as they have grown in a different spot this year & the biggest one is nearly as big as my hand (look at the bar-be-que tongues) for a rough guide.

Nearly Halloween

I have been playing with some new stuff I bought from TKMAX they have got a few crafts bits in & I went mad on Halloween Stuff god knows why I normally avoid doing it as it never seems to look right. So I bit the bullet & set to and this is what I made: the peel-off web, fencing & pumpkin are from Making Memories (I also got some of their stamps from TK as well)Tilda's I shrunk a little & coloured them with Promarkers and I added a little bit of Gold metal behind the pumpkin to make it look lit up.

Graces Birthday

Today is my Granddaughter's 5Th Birthday it's really unbelievable how grown up she is, Grace isn't having a party no instead it's a sleep over with 2 friends I mean I was about 45 before I had my sleepover & that was with about 20 kids at the youth club where I used to work haha. Grace is the little girl who loves to be a tom boy one day & all girly the next, she has got her Grandad just where she wants him when I told her she was spoilt when she told me what she got for her Birthday she said " No Nannie I'm not spoilt it's my Birthday" time flies by so quickly.
I have used Crafter's Companion girls CD for the Castle and backing paper, various peel-offs e.g Happy Birthday & 5, the image is from Charmed crafts from the Once upon a time Digi stamps, a little metal heart that says "Birthday Girl" & some flowers. Hope she likes it I know I do.
Happy Birthday Grace 5 Today

I have flattened the card so it is possible to see all sides

Week# 97 - Scrumptious Shelley - Fashion through the years

Morning everyone and a damp Autumny one it is too this weeks challenge has been set by our lovely Shelley & she has chosen Fashion Through the Ages & this is my contribution. I thought this lady looked really Elegant she is a Decoupage figure (I do like doing a bit of 3D), I wanted to add something to her fur to make it look realistic & normal glitter didn't buy it for me so I used a hairy glitter which has longer strands & I think it looks rather effective & the ladies I do cards with thought so too.

The Design team have been really busy with their Idea's why don't you drop by and see what everyone has been up to at OSCC it would be great to see you all.

I would also like to thank all the lovely people who have taken the time to leave all those lovely comments on previous blogging it is better than actually winning so Thank You everyone.
